Summer Rewind #3: Slow is the New Fast – Learning How to Heed My Speed

Listen to the podcast

Hi Team, Happy, happy 4th of July!

Between last week and the next two weeks, you’ll notice a little theme here—Slow Down! As I was prepping all of this for the summer, I had a feeling these were going to be very well timed for me. It’s amazing how intentional I have to be if my goal is to shift to a slower pace in the summer.

Because I’m a gal who just loves a routine and schedule, my approach has been to simply schedule less, and allow more downtime to just be with myself and others. It allows for a nice balance of feeling productive while still soaking in the joy.

A little trick that’s been helping me out is watching my use of the phrase, “I have to…” Do you really ‘have to,’ Mags?

Lady listeners, if you’d like to connect more on the episode, there’s an opportunity to do that this Tuesday at 10:30AM EST. To learn how to feel more in touch with your choices and yourself this summer, check out the show notes or my website for details on our C2 Community Call collaboration. And a reminder: you can just listen, you don’t even have to share!

Now, it’s time for the show!

I would love for you to join me as I work to undo these old patterns and evolve to create a more serene and accepting existence. (And you should know that I still want to ear flick the little knuckleheads {this includes my husband} when they don’t rinse a dish before putting it in the dishwasher — always a work in progress.)
