There are times when it just feels like the toilet paper roll is always half empty. When I begin to see the world this way, it’s a clear sign that I need to tune-up my routines. I’m not exactly sure how I went from listening to meditations every night before bed to listening to podcasts about the Boston Strangler. That’s how fast it can happen people. Before I know it, I’m flinging Bob’s Sweet Stripes Soft Peppermint Candies in my mouth like they’re gas for my tank, and my healthy daily habits are a distant memory.
At this point of the year in New England, when it’s muddy, grey, cold, and wet, my thoughts and attitude begin to mirror that grimness. A little routine maintenance feels like just what the doctor ordered for this old jalopy. Tightening some exercise screws, WD-40ing those meditation hinges, and adding some healthy food oil should do the trick.
This serenity engine should be back humming like a songbird in no time!
