Answer to My Prayers – What Corona is Here to Teach Me

Listen to the podcast

As mentioned in Social Distance Academy, my focus has been on our nuclear family this week. And because I’m a faith Spin Doctor, I’m very open to the lessons this togetherness has come to teach me. After listening and observing over the past several days, I know at least one thing I’m being called to do.
I feel very strongly that if I allow myself to get caught up in all the despair and fear, I’ll have missed an inconceivable opportunity. I don’t believe the world is calling me to be scared. I believe the world is calling me to heal. Heal myself. Heal my relationships. Heal our family.
If you asked me two weeks ago if I thought we needed to be healed, I would have said, no. Yet, on the other hand, I can’t even count the number of times I’ve prayed that it would all just stop. The planning, producing, performing, preparing, providing, and perfecting. This, in many ways, was my unimaginable dream.
So please know, Universe—I’m listening closely, and I know how this works: The more overwhelming things seem, the more remarkable the outcome. Bring it on.

I would love for you to join me as I work to undo these old patterns and evolve to create a more serene and accepting existence. (And you should know that I still want to ear flick the little knuckleheads {this includes my husband} when they don’t rinse a dish before putting it in the dishwasher — always a work in progress.)
