For years, I was never quite sure if I learned more from the Good Witches or the Bad Witches in my life. There are those people who’ve pushed me to strive for better, higher, and faster, but then there are the people who seem tickled pink with whatever I have to give.
The Bad Witches played an important role in the earlier part of my life. They were there when I needed to know just how much better, higher, and faster I could go. And in the early years of parenting, I actually thought it was my job to constantly ride my kids to be the best they could be. But now, eighteen years into this gig, without question—I’d much rather be a Good Witch.
Life is swarming with demands to be more. I feel pressure in every direction, and I’m not the only one. I continually see children and adults crumbling beneath the demands of life in 2021. Taking that into consideration, no one needs more pushing. Our culture is already the Bad Witch. So, I want to be the witch I need in my life. The witch that says…
Take a rest.
Be gentle to yourself.
Of course, I have time to listen.
Hey, wanna know something? I love you just the way you are.
Please…
