When we go away, my husband often forgets things, and ya know what? It doesn’t phase him in the least. I didn’t even know that was an option before meeting him. Being adaptable is something I truly admire in others. I want to be adaptable and I’d love to model adaptability to our children. If I think of absolutely everything we’ll need while we’re away, I rob us of opportunities to practice flexibility and letting go.
Until, of course, it comes to things like passports—that’s when we thank God that opposites attract.
