Faith is seeing light with your heart when all your eyes see is darkness.
—Barbara Johnson
This is what I know. My faith is the power that leads me to acceptance. With acceptance, I have a shot at gratitude. Without faith, I can only see my life as happening to me, rather than for me. Over the past nine months, I’ve been struggling with my trust in the Universe’s plan. I could ask for acceptance and gratitude, but that’s not getting to the heart of the issue. This year, all I want for Christmas is for Santa to restore my faith in God’s plan.
Dear Kris,
I know there have been many times when it’s taken me years to understand my Higher Power’s hand in what’s happened in my life. Please remind me this December that everything is exactly as it’s supposed to be….That, while I may not be able to make sense of it now, someday I will. Please help me to shift my focus from what’s not the same, to what needed changing. Help me to enjoy and cherish those who are with us, rather than lamenting over those who can’t be with us.
Santa, this year, please encourage me to simply open up my eyes and recognize that I’m not in darkness. I am actually engulfed in light.
Yours truly,
Mags
